PA Dutch CVB announces new board chair and members for 2011

(Lancaster, Pa.)  The Pennsylvania Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau (PA Dutch CVB) today announced the appointment of the 2011 chair and five new members to its Board of Directors. The board is comprised of professional tourism partners that govern the organization and ensure it is consistently aligned with its mission to promote and grow visitation to Lancaster County.
 
Deryl Stoltzfus of Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn will serve as 2011 chair. A resident of Strasburg, Stoltzfus moved up to the chair position after service as vice chair and chair-elect.  He possesses more than 15 years of industry experience, having worked for American Music Theatre and Sight & Sound Theatres® prior to becoming general manager at Hershey Farm. Stoltzfus studied psychology at Messiah College.
 
The rest of the 2011 officers are as follows –
 
  • Immediate Past Chair: Chuck Simmons, Tanger Factory Outlet Center – Lancaster
  • Chair-Elect: Rick Stammel, Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex
  • Vice Chair: Scott Bowser, Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
  • Treasurer: Maria-Jose Tennison, Sight & Sound Theatres®
  • Secretary: Jan Garrabrandt, Artist’s Inn & Gallery
  • President & CEO: Chris Barrett, PA Dutch CVB
     
New three-year term members of the board are:
 
  • Shane Ackermann, of Strasburg and president of The Amish Village.  Ackermann held several positions in the finance industry prior to heading up the iconic Lancaster County attraction.  He has a bachelor’s in management from Clemson University, and an MBA from Queens University.
     
  • Marsha DiBonaventuro, of Lancaster and executive director of Downtown Ephrata, Inc.  DiBonaventuro is an economic development veteran with a CEDP designation, having done such work for the cities of Lancaster and Lebanon before taking charge of the Main Street program in Ephrata. She has a bachelor’s in business from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Drexel University.
     
  • Sheryl Holzbauer, of Lancaster and executive vice president of Willow Valley Associates. During Holzbauer’s more than two decades at Willow Valley, she has also held positions in the sales, reservations, and catering departments. She has a bachelor’s in business administration from Messiah College.
     
  • David Nikoloff, of Lancaster and president of the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County.  Nikoloff served as director of economic development for Cumberland County before taking the top post at Lancaster’s EDC in 1991.  He has a bachelor’s in public policy from Penn State University, and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
     
The new one-year At Large member of the board is:
 
  • Scott Martin, of Lancaster and chairman of the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners.  Prior to becoming a county commissioner, Martin served in county government for more than 13 years, including as director of its Youth Intervention Center, and has also been a licensed realtor for more than 13 years.  He has a bachelor’s in sociology/criminology from Millersville University.
